We use the same 3/4″ furniture quality laminate and wood veneers as on our closet and pantry systems. Our entertainment solutions include, but are not limited to:
We offer three construction methods to meet all of your wholesale closet organizer and other custom organization system needs. Whether it is floor based, suspended or mixed, we have the solution.
Based on a metal wall rail that is secured to the studs and covered with a white plastic cover, this system is very popular for suspended closet organization projects. All of the structural closet components hang off of the rail. The weight of the system is carried by the studs and is very strong. The vertical panels accommodate an engineered wall mounting bracket that attaches to the panel and clips over the rail. Horizontal and vertical adjustment screws make for a perfectly square result. This type of closet organization system is also convenient for a single installer to work with. There is no need to remove the base mouldings typically found at the bottom of the wall or to remove carpeting, as suspended systems do not usually extend all the way down to the floor. All Plus Closets® rail suspended closet systems include a paintable rail cover that goes over the rail. This cover hides the screws and hardware used to attach the system to the studs. It becomes unnoticeable and seems to disappear when painted to match the wall color.
Advantages of suspended systems:
Floor based systems are designed to be supported by the floor and include a cabinet base box that raises the closet a few inches off the floor. Typically, the bottom of the base box near the wall is cut away and fitted around base board mouldings in order to get a snug fit to the wall. Alternately, mouldings like base boards can be removed prior to installation. Since floor-based systems sit on the floor, it can be difficult to change the carpeting unless it is removed from under the unit prior to installation. At Plus Closets®, backer board is optional and is not needed for a strong closet system. It is mainly a design decision. However, if backer board is chosen, the same 3/4″ material used in constructing the rest of the system is used. It should be firmly attached to the back of the closet system — not the wall — further increasing the overall strength and stability of the unit.
Our floor based systems come with a 41/2” toe kick (including the bottom shelf) and the fixed bottom shelf has a top hole for tightening the cam. This hole is then covered with a color-matched spot which is included.
Advantages of Floor Based Systems:
The majority of custom organization systems use a combination of suspended and floor-based pieces to create the greatest functionality along with the most beautiful appearance. Having both types of systems available allows for the creation of optimal design solutions based on the individual needs of each customer.
Cleat systems that use a 5″ wide horizontal cleat made of matching laminate and installed between the vertical panels to support the system are also available upon request.
